Valentines Favorites

February 14th, here's my current top 3 date night essentials..

Every time I wear this people compliment it, which is why it's my choice scent for St Valentine's. It's a mixture of fresh, summery fig fruit & deep & musky bark sap. Well done Diptyque.

2) A hair product. Philip Kingsley (surprise surprise) Daily Damage Defence £6.80. An anti-breakage, heat protecting, conditioning spray.
Apply sparingly to the ends of towel dried hair for instant goddess like hair. I picked this up on a whim & I'm so glad I did. It smells AMAZING, hands down the nicest smelling hair product I've used & is a cert' for a 'good hair day' hair.

3) Yves Rocher, Sexy Pulp Mascara £18. My new favourite, beating my previous all time fav Benefit Bad Gal Lash. So good I bought it thrice! It's like a perfect benefit love child of Bad Gal's wand & They're Real's formula. Schwing!

Hope all your valentines are sickeningly romantic! <3

Liz Earle Superskin Try-Me

I decided to try the 'Liz Earle Superskin Try-Me', on the heels of my friend Jess' constant praise about Liz Earle products & her PERFECT skin... Gotta be worth £29 of anyone's money surely?

Besides great products Liz Earle is a brand built on really lovely principles, never animal tested, all vegetarian products, only responsably sourced, natural ingredients go into their products (an A-Z list of which you can find on their website) & they are environmentally considerate.

The Superskin Try-me includes a 3 step cleansing treatment (cleanser, toner, moisturiser for mornings & nights) a fine muslin cloth & a intense night oil. Plus if you order online order you receive nice freebies, discounts codes & cute catalogues.

The Cleanse & Polish: my skin has never been awful, I get break outs here & there but my skin's biggest gripe is dryness; especially in the colder months. I like simple, mild cleansers that get rid of the junk without being too harsh or abrasive otherwise my skins tends to crack. This does the job & then some! You just apply one pump of cleanser to a face full of make up & wipe it off with the hot muslin cloth, no waste so the product lasts ages & it's quick.

The Instant Boost Skin Tonic: I didn't fall as hard for. It smells fresh & makes my skin feel squeaky clean but I just don't have the time for it everyday. So I tend to just treat my skin to the full shebang on a Sunday evening.

The Superskin Moisturiser: is something I imagine I'll repurchase for a long time. It's scent free so it doesn't sting irritated skin, plumps up my cracked, dry patches & absorbs quickly. The only downside is the price, £36 for 50ml. Ouch!

The Superskin Concentrate: I've only used this a couple of times, mainly around the Xmas holidays after long days of shopping / festivities in the bitter cold. The results were visible after one nights use, my skin is less tight & make up wears evenly over dry patches.

And that's it, great, simple, nourishing skin care that can even calm my crazy pensioners heel of a face!
